Sheep Addict?

I think there may be something seriously wrong with me. (My husband and children can confirm that this is not a surprise).

I realized I had a problem as I was contemplating how long it would take to sell our house in this horrible economy so we can buy another one with acreage. Why would we want to sell the three year old house we built from the ground up? Because we need room to raise sheep - for the dogs. Of course that will lead to getting more dogs (that is another post for another day).

I think there is something backward about my thinking. Aren't you supposed to have the sheep first then get the dogs to help you with the sheep? How many people out there get the dog...then buy the sheep?

Thinking about this I looked around me and became frightened. Sheep are EVERYWHERE! They have infiltrated every section of our home!

They are in every nook and cranny. (just a VERY small sampling of what is on the fireplace mantel and vicinity)

Sheep on the piano

A sheep just hanging out with his buddy the mohair teddy.

Roger the Rocking Sheep (named after a very grumpy old ram that belonged to my ex-husband's family). My kids grew up with Roger, someday my grand kids will ride Roger too. Oddly enough Beth is scared of Roger and won't be caught dead any where near him.

Just about every one of my older designs has a sheep in it somewhere (small sampling of dozens)

All my new designs have sheep in them...

This one I am working on now (about 1/4 done) an angel who will be holding a banner saying "Can't Sleep, Don't Count Sheep, Talk to the Shepherd". The sheep are mulling about and jumping a fence. Now I am trying to alter the design so I can insert a Border Collie in the picture.

Wait! If I look at it this way, I had the sheep obsession BEFORE the dogs. Perhaps I haven't done this backwards after all...however how many people can say they got border collies to herd their imaginary sheep?

I can - now that is truly scary. Eh?

I love all your sheep! And I don't think you have to have the sheep first...it's amazing what dogs can lead us to.. :)

I bought a sheepskin to sit on at a trial, non of my dogs would come near me. Guess they thought they would be in trouble for killing a sheep.
