I am going to buy this book and devour it one sitting. Doesn't it look like one of those wonderful light & fluffy animal themed romances that inspires a blissful ooey gooey warm fuzzy feeling? *sigh* I can smell the sugary sappiness from here...

MIL Update: John's mom is still hanging in there. Yesterday she woke up and was talking for the first time in a few days. The priest was there to give her communion and anointing of the sick. It was wonderful she was conscious of it all & smiling. It was very touching for John and his sister, they were given the opportunity to anoint her head with oil too. Today she has been medicated heavily for pain and sleeping again.
John went back to work today. I stayed home with the dogs and enjoyed the gorgeous sunshine and 90+ degree weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter - egads! Oh well... Thank goodness for central air.
On another note: I have been working on the videos I shot at the Fido's Farm Three Species Fun Day. Chris asked me to film the participants herding cattle. I am slowly but surely working my way through all the hours of video I shot. I created a Fido's Farm YouTube page and have been uploading the videos there.
The videos feature Kelpies, Rottweilers, ACD, Border Collies and Aussies all working cattle. The cattle trial was won by a Rottweiler.
If you would like to see them - they can be found here.

Be patient with me - I will upload the rest of them (total of 20 videos) throughout the day tomorrow and Thursday.

That looks like a really neat book!!
We are glad your husband and his sister were able to have a special moment with their mom.
WOW a rottweiler won the cattle competition?! That is really interesting. We didn't even realize that anyone other than borders and cattle dogs did that!

I love warm fuzzy dog books :) I'll have to check this out!
Im currently reading Chiken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul and crying, a lot.
A Rottweiler won it? That's SOOOO good for this wonderful breed, of which I have two. Rotties were bred to herd cattle; most people don't realize that though. Thanks for a good plug for Rotties!!
I'll be waiting for that book review!
Great videos
Wizz :-)
