Wonderful Weekend - Part 2 - Ranger

Just for grins and giggles we decided to let Ranger have another go at the sheep. Why not? He likes it. The sheep are hardly stressed out by him and it is fun to watch what he may do next. Thankfully he hasn't decided to repeat the great "sheep-mounting" behavior...yet.

On Saturday, somewhere in his doofy head a spark went off and he appeared to be channeling a real border collie.

Usually his tail is high above his back, waving in the wind like a flag. When Ranger is taking something serious - his tail drops a bit lower although it is never all the way down like a proper border collie (shhh don't tell him I said that).

Whoops spoke to soon, the tail is up again. But what is this? Ranger is remaining engaged and the sheep aren't wandering over to the fence and ignoring him. They are staying right with John - because Ranger keeps bringing them back.

This is an improvement. The sheep are still standing, no one has laid down yet. (Like they have in the past when Ranger was eating poop, or attacking his reflection in the water trough)

Woohooo Good Boy! I wonder if someone is turning on a smidgen! (quick, knock on wood) Ranger is only 2 years old. He has time yet.

Someone looks a bit serious eh?

Wow, I think those sheep are actually running?

Ranger looks like he is having a good time too!

"See Dad, I really can bring them back to you".

I wonder if he will do it again next time or just try to mount another sheep?
