She's HOME!

Brynn was discharged last night! She has been playing and acting like a puppy should, a proper pooping and peeing machine! She is making us giggle every minute.

She is eating ...

...and eating...(she is on a restricted diet, don't worry I pulled her little face out of the Canidae bag before she actually got any).

Chewing

Ranger and Bonnie love Brynn. Beth is still on the fence, but she will warm up. Since our dogs are all up to date on their immunizations it is safe to let her play with them.

Bonnie has been sharing her bone with Brynn.

Bonnie + Brynn = BFF (Best Friends Forever)

Brynn's foster mom did a wonderful job paper training the pups. She reliably goes on the puppy potty pads. I will continue to clean up after Brynn with the bleach mixture. She also will not be allowed to eliminate outside until she is past the critical contagious stage (7 days). I have sterilized the yard to the best of my ability (she only voided in two spots and they have been soaked in bleach). If I can keep her from being outside for the next week hopefully I can reduce the amount of Parvo that is left in the grass. No one knows exactly how long Parvo remains in active in the soil - so I am not taking any chances.

As I type this she is chewing on the chair leg. She follows me to the bathroom, tries to chew up the toilet paper, she has pooped four times today alone (nice beautiful solid poo's). She can escape her x-pen already, so we have to reinforce it by zip tying it to the dining room chairs for stability. She is taking her medications perfectly, eats like a horse.

She is happy and healthy - with no lasting effects from the Parvo. Everything is as it should be...she is home.

We want to thank the staff at Sumner Veterinary Hospital, in Sumner, WA. They were a tremendous source of support. Their care for Brynn went above and beyond expectations. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I love it. Just a bit ago, Keith asked how she is doing. Jazz is just as active. Not quite to the 15 on a scale of 1 - 10 but a 14 at least. I do love these babies. Thanks so much for taking such great care of her. She is absolutely adorable.

Im so glad she is doing well. It makes you wonder about vaccines. My puppy got her 2nd shot and within 48 hours she had parvo. Was at the vet for 5 days and did recover. She is almost 2yr. old now. But is interesting that they became positive for parvo so quickly after getting a shot. Hmmmm. Diana
