Farm Town Fanatic

I have never played a computer game in my life.  I have often scoffed at my children while they play Halo and/or save up their money for the latest release of Call of Duty XXXII.

On more than one occasion my son tried to get me to play SIMS with him, then it was Civilization.  I would shudder and walk away.

Nope, I said...I am not a computer game type of person.  (whatever that means)

A good book is all I need.  Or so I thought...

Until my former friend Cindy manipulated me into trying Farm Town on Face Book.

It is an evil application. The work of  Satan himself.   I believe it is transmitting subliminal messages into my brain.  That is why I didn't get to bed until after midnight last night.

What is happening to my brain?  To my life?

The poor dogs.  They had to go to the river with John today.  Because I didn't get dressed until 2 PM.  I forgot to feed them dinner last night.  No wonder they were pathetically gnawing on their bones looking at me like I was evil incarnate at 11pm.

This morning I made soup - errr well it is left over from last night - I never took it off the stove.  It was shabbat after all.  They eat the same soup for dinner again tonight.  Oy...

Something tells me that a computer game is not part of Shabbat. Eh?

Hi, my name is Carolynn.  I am a Farm Town addict.  I have no control, I am weak and pathetic.

Speaking of Farm Town...Anyone want to be my neighbor?  If I get enough neighbors then I can really move up levels!!!  I send LOTS of gifts too!

Dagnabbit, I forgot to feed the dogs AGAIN tonight!

I don't play Farm Town, but I'm there with you on FarmVille. Like the night I got up at 3am to let the dogs out and use the bathroom, and found myself logged on and harvesting crops.

Very sad!

I have NEVER played computer games. But, here I am.

LOL! I have not fallen into the clutches of the evil Farm Town yet, but many others I know have. Good luck with your farm! If I ever get sucked in I will let you know and we can be neighbors :)

lol, my 2nd window of explorer currently has FB and I am harvesting my crops on Farmville. Haven't yet made my way over to Farm Town...I think one mindless farming game at a time is enough.

too funny

What does it say about me...now I am on Farmville too! Addie you are my neighbor there too! Kathy I am looking you up on Farm town right soon! Ann I just took care of your field this evening!

Kathy, I am not sure which Kathy Flynn is the right one. Search for me Carolynn Harwell...then send a friend request. That might be easier - I hope!

I am resisting Facebook, blogging takes up enough of my time. I think the dogs would pack and leave home if I started on Facebook too!

Don't get swallowed up!

Chuckling - Over the years, I have become addicted to a couple of games, but am trying hard to resist the current wave. Ok, ok, I do have Sims 3.

I have also resisted Facebook so far. So far.

Hey there! I'm a FarmVille addict.
I will look for all y'all on FB and hopefully we can be neighbors too. Or look me up - Lynn Milner Walker, I've short reddish hair in my pic. Please say you found me through BCxFour's blog.

Maybe Farmville will someday have farm dogs!! Dogs that look just like Ranger would be cool!

I was getting so many of everything that I see one and click it off. Years ago when games were on the TV and a little box, you played against each other and could afford a game and still eat dinner, I did play games with our kids on those miserable days you could not go outside. I know if I got hooked, nothing would get done around here so I do not dare start. Tomorrow is canning carrots day.

Oh, yes, has your husband tried the bass fishing game yet. I hid mine so I cannot play it during the summer, It does not come back out until Thanksgiving and all canning is done.

shouldn't you be plowing or harvesting or something?

Ha ha ha Lacey...that is the PROBLEM! I am plowing and harvesting all the time now. Sigh...I need to get a grip.

Sandy, I will look for you!

Pat, we just got done canning applesauce this weekend. Quince Jam/jelly is next! Then hopefully we are DONE! Have fun with the carrots!

I've added you, I play both town and ville

To minimise the work, you could just pick crops that take 1, 2 or 3 days, stagger them so that you have one thing ready each day, and always harvest, plow and plant at the same time of day. Then it only takes you one moment once a day.
